Question: Discuss about the Project Proposal on Development of Packed Yums Food Delivery App. Answer: Proposed Mobile App Introduction (Packed Yums Food Delivery App) The mobile application is designed for enabling the online user to order food items and track the delivery from their mobile. For using the application the user needs to register into the application and search for the food item from remote location. This online food delivery application is designed for recording all the orders of the customers. The online food delivery application is designed for growing population and the internet users an open new opportunity for the restaurant industry for developing their business. The application is designed for attracting more number of customers and overcome the problems faced by the customer by using the traditional system. Here, the user can use the application for searching different food items available in the restaurants and get it from remote location. The application is designed based on the requirement of the user. The user needs to register for using the application and add the address and other personal information for getting the ordered food items in the destination. With the development of the online food delivery application more number of customers can be handled at a time and reduce the queue. The communication between the restaurant and the customer can also be improved with the development of the application. Device Capability Requirement The application is designed for running in different range of android devices and the application is tested to run on the android devices starting with a screen size of 320 * 480. The application is developed to run on android version of 4.0 and the device should have the compatible hardware such as the compass sensor and the Gps sensor for locating the destination of delivery. A minimum 512 Mb memory is required for running the application efficiently and API level 14 is required for running the application in the device. The application is designed for supporting different screen size of phones, tablets and android TVs. Web servers are used for storing the records of the customers and the restaurants. The information of the customer and the restaurants are stored in the data store and cloud platform is used for increasing the efficiency of remote access. Precondition Proper validation is required to be used for identification of the identity of the user and the nearest restaurant is required to be displayed to the customer searching for food. Post condition The restaurant is required to respond to the query of the customer and add the orders for delivering it in the desired location. Activity Flow The customer places order by searching for the appropriate restaurant The order is submitted and verified by the restaurant for delivering the food. The order is processed and the payment is received from the customer for completion of the order. Expectation It is expected that the users of the online food delivery application have the ability to use the application and the information of the customer are protected from unauthroised access. The application is designed to save time of the user and help them to get their order at their door steps. The user can search for different food items from different hotels and order the items at the chosen location. Outcome The Packed Yums Food Delivery App is developed by adding some unique features that makes the application more efficient. The online food delivery application can work on offline mode with the help of phone calls and the order status can be seen from the history option in the application. The user can set the address of the delivery by enabling the Gps in their device and this results in more accurate information provided to the delivery boy and they can reach to the customer by using the Gps navigation. The location of the delivery boy can also be monitored by the customer by clicking on the live tracking option and it helps to maintain a good customer relationship and increase the transparency in the business.
